Gold Coast Pride Collective Presents World AIDS Day

This World AIDS Day, we unite in compassion, remembrance, and action.

Held each year on December 1, World AIDS Day is a moment to honour those we’ve lost, support those living with HIV, and renew our shared commitment to ending stigma.

The Gold Coast Pride Collective invites our community to come together for a meaningful evening of reflection, storytelling, and connection — celebrating the strength and resilience of LGBTQ+ people while promoting awareness and health equity for all.

Through conversation, performance, and presence, we aim to build a culture where understanding replaces fear, visibility replaces silence, and community replaces isolation.

Because when we stand together, we not only end the stigma — we build a safer, more connected Gold Coast for everyone.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

aboriginal and torres strait Island flags

We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia, the traditional custodians of the lands and water. GCPC respectfully acknowledges the Kombumerri people of the Yugambeh language region, who are the traditional owners of the land and waters on which we meet, work and play. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging; we affirm their ongoing connection to and care for country; and we recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.
